Today was a rough one. Brian woke up with a 102 degree fever. Bloodwork was done, chest and stomach x-ray, urine and sputum samples taken. Bloodwork looked normal overall. His white blood cell count was elevated, but not too bad. His doctor and the radiologist thought the chest x-ray looked the same as the last one, but pulmonology thought there could be the start of something. Infectious disease docs weighed in and think it's more than likely a UTI. Who knows...Brian was in bed ALL DAY and was unable to do any therapies. :(
On a positive note, Maddie's school, Truman Middle School, is having a spirit week in honor of Brian and to help raise money for upcoming renovations, medical, and equipment expenses. Today was hat day. Maddie was excited to dress up for her dad.
Our afternoon ended with another big box of goodies from my friend, Joan. That was a sweet and unexpected surprise! No matter what, we sure feel love and support from everyone. Thank you for commenting on the blog and Facebook site. I read them all to Brian.
We miss everyone like crazy. 15 days, 13 hours, 12 min, and 16 seconds til the kids are here!
Positive vibes and prayers certainly appreciated to help Brian get back on track.

Maddie looks cute in her picture. Don't you know she feels proud to have her school sponsoring activities honoring her Dad. That's so awesome the school supports their students. Hats off to Truman Middle School and Maddie.
What a nice treat to get another goodie box. So many people care about you and send their love in so many ways. Hopefully, your spirits remain high and today brings better results for Brian.
