Day Forty-Nine and Fifty

Day 49 & 50 (May 30 & 31)

It's been great having the girls with us.  They have done an awesome job of interacting with Brian. They feed him, drive the wheelchair, and attend some of his therapies.

Brian has a new personal best on the standing frame...70 degrees for 13 minutes!  Once he reaches 80 degrees and can tolerate that position for 20 minutes, it will open the door to new exercises.  Brian's blood pressure needs more stability for this to happen.

Brian is doing the diaphragm pacer twice a day.  He's doing well and pacing as long as he can tolerate it. He says it's hard work!

Thank you for your prayers and positive vibes...we appreciate them!

  1. You go Brian! It is such a blessing when you look back through your blog and see how far you've come. Slow and steady, smiling through it all. What an inspiration you are to so many people. I thank GOD every day for his wonderful grace and for keeping his hand over you. We continue to pray and believe for GOD's favor over your life.
The pictures of Kenzie and Maddie by your side are so precious. I know they are loving every minute they are there with you and Julie. Love certainly has no boundaries. You have a spectacular Family.
GOD Bless all of you. We love you very much.

  2. It's amazing to watch your progress in the frame!!! Truly wonderful to see the increase in degrees and duration since you started. Keep going for it. Can't wait to hear you hit 80.

Seeing the photo of you and MacKenzie with the smartphone reminded me of a conversation I had with Patti Moore this week on technology. I could use MacKenzie's assistance with my own smartphone and while she's at it, I think she may be able to fix the blinking clock on our old VCR (lol)!!!

Wishing you guys a great weekend :) Hugs & prayers all around.
